To address the racism, sexism, classism, and xenophobia that prevent individuals, families and communities from thriving, we can't work in silos. We need a shared vision and agenda, shaped by those whose lives and neighborhoods are most impacted by health inequities.

We're a
collective

—spanning expertise, geographies, and lived experience—that’s committed to working together towards a future where everybody can thrive.
Invest
in local organizations

We resource local leaders, community groups and coalitions best equipped to address health disparities.

Convene
and align with partners

We bring a breadth of national and local organizations together to share power and address today’s most pressing health equity challenges.

Advocate
for policies

We develop policies in support of community-based organizations and build the capacity for others to do the same.

Share
learnings & data

We democratize best practices and critical information to unlock opportunities for health equity nationally and locally.

How
we collaborate

The Health Equity Collaborative is run by a core team ⓘ of local and national organizations that set the vision and build momentum for collective action—balancing urgent needs and longer term priorities. We bring together people with different vantage points and resources to meaningfully shift policy and practice across issue areas.

Our
Story

There is power where diverse experiences, resources, and resolve meet.
In 2020, the Vaccine Equity Cooperative was launched to expand support for communities who were most affected by Covid-19. Together, we mobilized resources, changed policies, and brought together thousands of people to learn from each other.
Given the impact of this more collaborative way of working together for change, members saw an opportunity to expand focus areas, partners, and collective reach. Cue the Health Justice Collaborative—an evolving group of organizations committed to sharing experiences, power and resources towards a shared vision.
